You know what's annoying. When you're trying to eat your miso soup and some vegan is sitting there watching you saying "That's made w/ fish stock you know, they make it w/ all the left over fish stock." OMG NOT FISH STOCK! Shut up vegan I'm trying to eat my miso soup.

Do you think they use drugs that have been tested on animals, even if they're really?

I think that goes both ways Nat.... hate to call you on it but you've been pretty much the same way. People have beliefs, they stand by them, and they like to provide information to other people that informs them of this. Niko did it, you did it, Joanne did it... so that comment really isn't fair.

To be completely fair though, if you believe one thing and choose to inform others thats totally cool, just don't FORCE the issue. Nothing in the world drives me more insane than having a vegetarian slag me for eating meat. I don't make fun of you eating enough broccoli to shit green so don't bug me about eating enough red meat to piss blood. Dig?

No it's the opposite actually. I do deliveries for an organic mushroom grower who grows shitake, oyster, pom pom, king, and ling zhi mushrooms.

All organic growing for that is done in sawdust, corn, and wheat. If its grown in manure it can't be certified organice as manure is an animal by-product.

I haven't eaten at any fast food restaurant in over 10 years.

I'm aware of animal by products used to grow/make food.

edit: (add) besides mcd. probably doesn't have a single product that doesn't use an animal by product somewhere along the line. Any vegan that you know that eats fast food, probably isn't vegan, hell, probably isn't even vegetarian, with all that stuff they use in their food.

Rhianna I would never say stuff like that to you. It doesn't even bother me when people eat meat, and I don't think anyone should say stuff like that :) I agree, it's annoying.

p.s. I don't know any vegans, how do you encounter so many to get you so angry with them?

No I never get headaches, but you're probably getting these headaches in association to not getting enough iron. That's probably what's causing them.....so either start eating red meat again, or eat more leafy vegetables (or just take iron suppliments). Young women (particularly teenagers) need to pay careful attention to their iron intake because we're more suseptable to anemia.

I wish more people were like you. I never ever ever ever say anything to anyone about eating meat or animal products, in fact, I don't even care! You wouldn't believe how much I get criticized for my choice to be vege/vegan.

I have many friends who have worked at mcdonald's before and the french fries can apparently be cooked in vegetable oil. but either way, it's probably cross-contaminated with some animal by-product.

but I agree, I don't know many vegans who would go and eat in regular restaurants (other than actual vegetarian/vegan restaurants), let alone a fast food place!

I can totally relate, I've been vegetarian for quite a few years now and I've more recently cut out dairy.. eventually I'd like to become vegan.
See the thing is i'm totally fine with people eating meat, it's a personal choice and everyone's entitled to their own opinion and eating whatever they want. But when i'm at a family gathering.. or out somewhere and the people around me start interrogating me I get really pissed off.

It's like they feel guilty because they're not secure enough with their decision to eat meat.. so they make me feel like shit because they only wish they could do what i'm doing. I don't critisize them about eating meat so I just wish I could have that respect in return.

Have you vegan's united yet?? If not you should unite at my place and I'll make you an excellent omellette from eggs I grew in my garden! J/K... veganism is better for the world, I just have a really hard time cutting meat/dairy out completely... but if it makes you feel better all the stuff i eat is organic/free range.
