Ya their always considered one of the fav's but especially this years Euro 2004 they were suppose to finally get the job done, and do great things for the country.

Things just havn't gone their way. They can't deliver in the clutch, and u ain't going to win much even in soccer with low scoring.

If you can only score 2 goals in 3 games u simply can't win. Well you can but other teams have to djust as bad

lol conspiracy much? i was watching both games and after sweden scored the 2nd goal, game was basically over. they passed it around with the goalie and denmark just stood around. pretty ugly to see that happen. i think those scandanavian vikings agreeged to tie 2-2.

^ they won their game but they are tied with Denmark and Sweden with 5 points each.

Thing is the goal differential comes into play with italy only scoring 3 goals and allowing 2, thats a +1 difference

well sweden has like a +5 difference, and denmark with a +2 just squeeks in

Ya i figured this out today lol.

but don't forget its highly unlikely italy would have scored more than 2 goals,

here

- winner of the head-to-head match up
- goal difference
- goals scored
- qualifying record for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO 2004

those are some of the rules used to determine tied teams in points. the last one is only if everything else is like tied
