The New Science on Ecstasy
http://www.thetyee.ca/Health/current...of+Ecstasy.htm
Science Takes a Kinder View of Ecstasy Damning studies have been retracted and the drug is being used to treat post-traumatic stress syndrome. "Today is different: You're speaking to a psychiatrist – not in a sterile, fluorescent-lit hospital, but in a residential office on a peaceful, tree-lined street. You suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, and you've talked for hours in this very room, but always skipping the violent chapter that keeps you up at night, giving you flashbacks and causing you to feel estranged from your loved ones. Now an emergency room doctor and nurse are stationed inside the house. You've brought an overnight bag. Today, you've been given 125 milligrams of Ecstasy, and maybe, just maybe, you'll finally be able to face your demons..." |

the report is probably talking about pure MDMA...you never know what you get in a cap so how can you say its safe? The last time i checked speed was pretty fuckin bad and thats found in almost all caps. Sometimes certain substances just dont agree with someones body, so theres always a chance that theres something in that cap that wont like your body and yea thats the chance you take when you take ecstacy. So its never 100% safe, nothing is

I've read a lot of reports on ecstasy, done after the "big one" that was retracted. I've also read the outline for the proposed testing of E on people with Post-Traumatics Stress Disorder. Every single report I've read states some big concerns with neurotoxicity, but not to the same extent as the retracted study. However, all of the 7-10 year studies are currently on their last few years, and we won't have a clear picture of how MDMA affects the brain until then. My bets are that the reports have some valid concerns, and that the dopamine centers of your brain being damaged by E could have some very bad effects (like Parkinson's Disease).

ya ... but E effect people with PDSD (Post-Traumatics Stress Disorder) different then it would a normal person .. person wit PDSD has different chemical blance in the brain then ..lets say a reguler raver would have ... thats why it would be safe or safer for that person to pop a cap...and there also has to be a optimal dose to take....so thats means if you pop 9 takes .. no matter who you are ... you will be fucked
