Ya I so miss the plaza, gorgeous venue, I had a wicked time everytime I went, plus it attracted a lot of international talent.......god damn bureaucrats (ones who were responsible for its demise); I spit in your general direction *spit sounds*

it was good. vancouver was known for plaza, one of a kind venue.
now we rave in old hockey arenas, how origional. but ultimately i think this change is good for the scene. we will now have to focus on bringing back teh vibe of the underground parties, and finding a one of a kind venue for massives. PC is good for now, but we need to find something better. |

BC place stadium would suck, it would look so empty and it would sound terrible, and would cost wayyyyyyy to much... the venue they had for Lange was pretty good I liked that but you could only fit like 1200 max in there... good setup though..
how is the Maritime Labour Centre??? im going there for Shifted, should be half decent by the name lol, who knows... yah but vancity def. needs a better place to party... |

hahahah crazy sets? It's not to hard to play a CRAZY SET when most of the kids at the party are on between 2-4 speedy pills and half dead from dehydration and heat exaustion. Just curious, ever been to a rave sober? |

the whole knowing a crazy dj for example blank and jones coming to a party alot of peopel think they will hear a crazy set. i've always said a crazy dj does not guarentee a crazy set. Anybody can play a crazy set. But at the same time i like the massives cause it does showcase alot of big talent and i enjoy checking each out atleast 1 time but i never go in thinking that since their big then for sure their sets will be awesome. But i definatly hope they will each time. oh wells plaza is gone, life goes on, raves are still gonna happen.

no
don't miss the line's Don't miss the stupid pat downs Don't miss the Guards "are you ok Are you Ok" when you've sat down for a second. Don't missed the high freaky people who always seem to be more fucked up at plaza. Don't miss the sweaty heat and stick/wet floors Don't miss the stupidly high price of the party. Don't miss getting lost. Don't miss losing your friends and neverfinding them again. Don't miss the annoying half naked "bar stars" Or the high hard kore glow stick man. (you know the one with the wife beater on... and fat pants so big he can't move, and don't forget the sideways visor.) Don't miss the fights don't miss the price of water Don't miss the 10$ kande they expect you to buy don't miss the people fucking in the corners. don't miss the assholes giving blow jobs on MY BLANKIT Don't miss the dumb masscots. Don't miss the E-tard you end up looking after... because he/she follows you around like a lost puppy. I Do however miss the "funniesness of all the things above. when you laugh at it all with the few good friends you seem to find and or make... I do miss the "chill room" and some of the funky blow up castles they had Yeah, i do miss a few things.. but... i think the bad.. out does the good. |

you're trying to say the plaza was original? It's easy to throw a cookie cutter party there where you don't really need to try. All you need to do is attach a roman numeral to some party name and book some foreign trance dj (who may have even been here 5 times before) and then just convince ravers that this dj is CRAZY GOOD. Everyone knows exactly what to expect before they go in the party, that's predictable, it's not original. What's original is that some promoters are still out there trying to find new venues, trying to put together new lineups and introduce new talent to the city. That's original. |
