Nope.
It was an actual public school, september - june, just like all the other schools.

Basically, we had an accellerated and advanced curriculum, and 2/3 of our school time was spent on that. The other 1/3 of the time was spent doing outdoor pursuit. Also, on weekends we would do various trips ie. mountaineering @ black tusk, climbing @ chief and smoke bluffs, hiking in the Stoltman, etc.

Our head teacher was also the first person to fully complete the Garibaldi Traverse - and he did it with a group of grade seven students.

We also got to go on a lot of trips with John Clarke...he's a world famous BC mountaineer, and he actually holds the world record for the most first descents.

It was great - I wouldn't trade my experience there for anything. It definitely helped to shape who I am as a person.
