You know what I love about hippies??
You can cram 700 of them into the woods for an entire weekend, and at the end of it all the site will be just as clean as when you arrived.

Some of you folks should take some lessons.

Side notes: Texada Island is absolutely gorgeous; the power of the ocean is extremely humbling; lemon meringue pie has replaced strawberry cheesecake as my ferry desert of choice.

cleaning up after an adventure in the woods has got to be the worst, but it has to be done! in fact, that applies to anything we do. if the trash cans were used all the time, the world would be so much cleaner.

ps. where the F is texada island?.. it sounds loverly

Texada is NW of Bowen Island. There's an Airstrip there... and I think Limestone Quarry or two?

It's all about respecting Mama Nature. She's a pretty giving lady that doesn't ask much in return.

Texada is North up the Sunshine Coast. It takes about 5.5 hours to get there by three ferries.

Would that be what's right beside the ferry terminal? It was kind of unexpected to see when we pulled up to the island but all was forgotten as soon as we hit the woods.

I think so yah... I've only flown over it so I haven't paid too much attention. lol Vancouver Terminal gets busy when they're vectoring you between 737's etc to Vancouver International.

By the way this is my #1 piss off. It makes me not ever want to camp again unless it's just me and like 2 other people. People always leave some garbage and it's NOT cool kids. Either is cutting down trees.

^the best is when I heard someone (I think it was Bryan) say "You can burn the plastic, just make sure Rhianna doesn't see it."

This weekend kind of turned me off of camping.

FYI: we filled up 4 garbage bags of shit that was left behind at camp when you guys all left early. And we carried them up that damn trail!
