Tattoos!!!
Im going to get my first tattoo on my back, overtop of my shoulder blades. Some color text.
Im being such a pussy, wondering how much it hurts/feels like? I've never had a tattoo or piercing or anything, so I have no clue what its going to feel like. Anyone wanna let me know.. Thanks! |

I have two tattoos, one on my lower back and one on my ankle. Neither of them really hurt, the ankle is supposed to be "really painful" but I think people totally over-exaggerate when it comes to tattoo pain.
It's annoying and uncomfortable, just sit through it and remember how badly you want it and how happy you'll be with the final product, I think the pain is mostly psychological, you just have to distract yourself, talk to the tattoo artist.. both of mine had great stories to tell. The outlining hurts more than the colouring.. and umm yeah that's about it. Good luck, I actually think it's a really fulfilling experience :) Just don't get yourself worked up too badly. |

on your back over your shoulder, it wont be too bad man.
I have 5 tats. the most painful is anywhere you have baby flesh and skin. your back is pretty tough skin, so i wouldnt be too afriad. Ever have a zit poped on your back? it hurts like hell eh? well, take that pain..think about it.,..and know that a tattoo doesnt hurt as much. *smiles* really. im being serious. you can let me know if i am right late?! |

She didn't mention having any pain afterwards, but I'd think the area would be sensitive. Also, I don't think you're supposed to be showering right away after you have it done. Your tattoo artist will give you after-care instructions, which will include washing it with warm water a certain amount of times, applying a moisturizer or ointment, avoiding pools etc, and other things. |

Im not getting a tattoo so I can show it off everywhere I go, im getting it for me, because I like what it is. As for getting one on my forehead mike, I dont think so.
I think ill get it done on Saturday with my buddy because I cant obviously do it today because of my hangover, hehe. Anyone reccomend any good places to get it done? Thanks for all the feedback./ |

when i got mine done i walked into the place thinkin it was going to be a piece of cake.
5 minutes into it i started sweating and the room began to spin. after a short break and some water we were back at it and i was fine from then on out. the artisit said that what happened to me wasn't all that uncommon, and that it happens more often with guys than it does girls. he figures it's because most guys walk in there thinking it won't hurt that bad and are overwhelmed when they realize just how bad it is. whereas most girls on the other hand are more apprehensive about geting ink done and expect it to hurt a lot. regardless, it's not all that bad. tho the closer to the bone you get it done the more it stings; but it's worth it. my only words of advice are to make sure that you really really want the tattoo that you're planning on getting and that it's not just some fad/phase that you won't give 2 shits about in a few years. |
