sui sha ya is just gross.
bad service, and the food isn't great.
on top of that, the kitchen guys sit there and talk about you in chinese when they think you can't understand what they're saying. [at least, at the metro town one they do]
coquitlam is even worse.

Ichibankan is not bad either if you want real japanese food. Not all you can eat, not fake chinese/korean/japanese... food.

Not too pricey either unless you order expensive shit like ikura, and unagi, and like crap like that.

they also h ave a rotating sushi thing its dope

Ahh, you guys forgot about Richmond Sushi on Capstan way in Richmond. Pretty good late night sushi (if the place is still open). Then there's Granville sushi on Granville and broadway, across the street from the chapters. I used to go to that place all the time.

Other good places that are cheap and that have pretty good portions and quality are Sushi Bang on Broadway and Cambie (in vancouver) across the street from the royal bank. Their specials are crazy. Then there's Samurai Sushi on Cambie and 41st (across the street from the mall) which have the most rediculously sized rolls i've ever seen. I know they have a Samurai sushi on denman too and it's always packed. Expect a to-go atmosphere rather than a quiet dinner.

If you want EXTREMELY high quality in an unexpected location? kinda like unexplored territory, well i found a gem in the rough in east van. It's on 49th and victoria'ish. i'll have to find hte address but it's in the corner and hte prices are baller, but hte food is very traditional and tastey as hell. It's in a little mini-mall get up.

"In New West the best all you can eat for a great price is Top Gun Sushi. Cheesy name, great place, great view too! Right on the Quay, and plenty of room for large groups. Dinner all you can eat sashimi and their oyster motoyaki is wicked."

I second that. And I think the name is the best part of it all. Your brother brought me there once. I think I still owe him.

the worst place in New West is the one that's infront of you once you get off the platform. totally disgusting and it's like they soak their rice in something strange because all the sushi peices are hardened and it only takes about 10 peices to fill your ass up. but it's only 8 bux.
