In Richmond, the best place is the Tokyo Ichiban for sure. It's been around for years, and has *everything* on the all you can eat menu (chilled oysters, all sushimi, etc.) it's down the street from the Pizza hut on the same road that is adjacent to the landsdown mall - in the corner of a strip-mall thing.
It's seriously worth it, I drive from Mission just to eat there, no shit. |

^meh! such chinese japanese food.
for all you can eat for a cheap price late night is your best bet. after 9 or 9:30. aji toro on no. 3 is pretty good... same as sui sha ya in lansdowne in richmond. my fave is still sushi king in marpole.. you pay less money than all you can and you're EXTREMLY full. a nice lil take out place just opened right by the body clinic at the entrance of granville island.. called sushigo. most friendliest workers there and good prices.. great for take out. |

New West: Sappiro Sushi-across from new west station...cheap...big menu....not the greatest
New West: Top Gun-at the quay above the paddle wheeler pub...fairly cheap...smaller menu but not that small... its much better than the other new west place Coquitlam: Sui Sha Ya-by the old pine tree theatre...mid price range.... shitty sushi... shitty service... shitty for big groups Metrotown: Sui Sha Ya-cheap latenight... smaller menu... its pretty good there's another place by the redrobin by coquitlam centre.. i've never been there its fairly cheap though another place on 6th in New West.. its expensive and a small menu for price.. find one that has late night or a lunch all you can eat... if your going for dinner expect everywhere to be at least $17+ most likely more |

Ohako on broadway and granville. above the Max's store.
Also robson sushi is ok after 9:30 $9.99 Shabusen is worth it if your gonna pay 18.95 at sui shaya. I can't stand sui shaya the metrotown one wasn't that bad, bad as dean said the one in coquitlam has gross food. Daimasu i forget which one is pretty good too thee one on broadway near kits. |

Sui Sha Ya in metrotown is hardly palatable, the richmond venue is much better.
In New West the best all you can eat for a great price is Top Gun Sushi. Cheesy name, great place, great view too! Right on the Quay, and plenty of room for large groups. Dinner all you can eat sashimi and their oyster motoyaki is wicked. If you're downtown and looking for a cheap place for medium sized group there is a place on Davie right past the Safeway on the left hand side if you are facing towards the beach, right passed TD bank. Can't remember the name, but it's a great price and the rolls are fucking great. Out on 333 east Broadway, 3 blocks east from Broadway and Main there's a place called Jiro. It's upstairs and the outside of the building doesn't look like much, but when you're inside it's the bomb. Great sashimi, great place for dinner. Also serves a mean array of boiled and cooked foods, teriyaki is great too. And least I forget Shabusen off West 7th and Granville, great for large groups and better quality then the one on Granville and Robson. Sushi rules, have fun. |
