What do you prefer? IMPORT or DOMESTIC? (cars)

What do you prefer? IMPORT or DOMESTIC cars?

Having previously owned both imports and domestics, i now prefer imports over domestics any day.

MMmmm, i like both.

Both cars have the great aspect of being able to customize performance parts & body parts, but you guys seem to be talking about efficiency and durability. I think if you're going to go and buy a used car, it's more so the previous owner that you have to inspect rather than make and model of the car. personally. if you're buying a 10 year old car for like... 5,000. expect that import to break down quite a bit. or something like that. If you're into modifying and what not, go import because there's more variety to choose from for aftermarket parts.

As for Imports, their stuff is definately up to par when it comes to quality. almost all of the new luxury/sport cars out there for 2004 are atleast 180 hp or a v6. When it comes to imports, nothing beats german efficiency. go old-school beetle go.

I want a suburu WRX Sti.

As I'm a Mustang owner, I'm kinda biased. I love Domestics, but I prefer the older ones, real Muscle. Other than that, my Import preference is of the European flavour. The Germans and Brits know how to make wicked Cars. Even the French (at least they're good for something) have a couple deadly machines.

British cars all have problems. Someone once told me "A Jaguar's warantee is void once you drive it off the lot"

the general quality of imports is so far ahead of domestics it's not even funny.

personally, i'm a pretty big suv hater, and the suv and the domestic companies represent the big steps backwards that they keep making. while imports are making real strides in alternative fuels. once again proving why imports kick domestics' asses.

btw: yes i know import companies have suv's. but they are just adapting to the market, not creating one that isn't necessary.
