My First Aid Level one has Expired, now what?
I was cleaning out my old wallet and found that stupid punch-out card they give you in high school when you complete the First Aid course. We had to do it in gym for two weeks, making out with plastic dolls and such. Anyway, my level one recently expired and I think taking some extra courses in my spare time. I think it would be something constructive to do. Plus you never know right?
Anyone guide me on my quest for knowledge? Where would I begin? Anyone taken courses outside high school? |

go for industrial if you want to get really qualified. if not, theres a place called TraumaTech in gastown, for 2 days you can get CPR-C and Standard First Aid qualified. I recommended it. Good teachers and most of them are either paramed's or firefighters.

you can take courses at any st. johns ambulance.
if you dont plan on using an industrial first aid, id recomend getting your cpr-c. but the industrail first aid can get you wicked jobs where you sit, maybe do some sweeping, at a construction site\warehouse\somewhere industrial-ly dangerous, and you get paid like $13 +\hour. but you end up dealing with sliced off fingers and shit like that. |
