Ya so do I. I say 10th round KO. but than again Mayorga has power as well, but i'm gonna go with 'Tito' and stick with him.

Either way I am gonna watch the fight so I'll know on saturday

i was watchin that thing on HBO last nite with my boxing buddy ... previous fights from mayorga and tito ... tito IMO is a better technical boxer than mayorga but mayorga is way more agressive ...

Very impressive stuff... reminds you of why Felix was such a force to be reckoned with in the boxing world.

^ i saw the fight at the bar. Tito was being patient and mayorga with his rash style of boxing was the perfect prey.

Very good fight to watch. Way better than the Oscar vs Hopkins fight.

Nice tuneup fight. Tito is here to stay

I don't think you call Trinidad/Mayorga a tuneup fight. Mayorga can throw bombs (ask Vernon Forrest), he's tough as nails (this was the first time he'd been knocked out)...

I think you just call it a damn impressive win for Felix.

He can throw bombs but fuck he throws haymakers all over the place. Trinidad's best punch was the first knockdown punch to the gut.

In rounds 1 through 4 I thought Mayorga's power shots were very crisp and controlled, but yeah after that they were missing way too much and he was leaving himself open for counters after he threw them.

That was a fucking rad body punch, no doubt.

and in ruond 5 when trinidad landed the big blow to the left eye of mayorga. Trinidad's punches started landing at will. By the 8th he could throw all the power punches he wanted and barely was missing at all.

Over the course of the fight he connected on something like 60 percent of his power shots. Ain't no-one gonna survive that!

Mayorga's got an unbelievable chin. It was unreal how he dropped his hands in the first round and let Trinidad drill him with three straight left hooks! This if Felix Trinidad we're talking about here, one of the most feared punchers around. You just don't do that to Trinidad and stay on your feet. All the accumulation eventually wore Mayorga down, but he was always dangerous until the end.

I'd like to see Trinidad and Oscar have a rematch, and then see Trinidad go after Hopkins again. At 160 I think Tito would be way too much for Oscar. I think Hopkins would still beat him, but the guy is pushing 40 now so a rematch could be much closer.

BTW, Tito is like a god in Puerto Rico. Something like 100 000 people came out for a parade when he came back to the island after this fight and it wasn't even for a championship.

I agree i think Tito would take Oscar easily now, not like in their first encounter where it was debatable who won.

In fights like that your not suppose to land at over 60%. I wonder who is next.
