You could have seen half of those bands this summer -- you should have done that. ;)

Iron Maiden. <-- I still haven't seen them yet.

Id like to see Slayer play with Pantera again, that show was probably one of the most hi energy events I have been to since probably Ministry of Sound 98, or Ozzfest 99. If Metallica chopped a few years off them, I would like to see them again. Im thinkin Where ever I May roam tour era.

I'll add Pink Floyd, The Who and Led Zeppelin to my list as well, since I'm naming bands that don't exist anymore. Closest to Zeppelin you can see these days is The White, which I saw a few weeks ago, and will see again on Nov 20th. Good stuff.

Id say probably Commodore or Thunderbird stadium. If those venues have a good engineer present. Id probably say those are some of the better venues to see a show at. Fun times.

I'll explain. An live audio engineer often tours with the act. He or she knows the acts material inside out, knows the sweet spots of the venue which will be played at (ie: certain spots of the venue contain less or more frequency audibility, ie: more guitar in one area, than an other, etc), it is the engineers job to limit spots of cancellation by speaker placement, mic placement, etc. Sometimes when I have attended the commodore, the program material was way more predominant than the vocals, thus I have to strain to hear which an artist shouldn't have to cater to. Once again, it is the engineers job to make the band sound good so the band can easily do what they are supposed to do. Play good music.

This being one of my professions, I have tremendous respect for audio engineers, a good engineer is hard to find.
