did anybody watch the world poker tour tournament today? it was such an intense game with crazzzy ass swings... if ur a poker player and watched it... ud understand what i mean... lol... im sucha poker fan...

I played a tourny in vegas with a $500.00 buy in and I think there was like 100 people involved. The Grand Prixe was $2,500.00 and a $1,000.00 for 2nd. I came in 37th and surpossedly for my first tourny thats pretty good. I had no idea what i was getting into. There's real players in these games just looking for some quick spending money off the tourist chumps. I had a blast though. For the time spent at the tables and the people I met the $500 was well worth it. They have a $2,500.00 tourny and I'm thinking of playing in that one too.

haha, last time i played this i pretended i didn't know how. or, at least, my friend assumed i didn't know how, and kept trying to give me pointers and tell me how to play. within a little over an hour i had all his money. apparently i play poker really well when i'm on coke.

hahaha the funny thing is about hold em.... everybody thinks they are the BEST at it and can own it.... no fuckin way!... too many swings in this game to actually call ur self the best... a true poker player knows that!

Speaking of poker, Cece and I were in Edmonton this weekend and we decided to hit up the casino to kill some time before we had to catch the flight back on Sunday. We started on the slot machines and then moved over to the Caribbean stud table where we weren't making too many gains. After about 15 mins we decided to switch tables and then our cards starting getting better. We were soon dealt a hand that contained all hearts and under closer inspection we noticed all the cards were in order which yielded a straight flush. The progressive jackpot at the time was $45,000 and a straight flush was entitled to 10% of the pot. By this time the dealer was in total shock and flagged the pit boss to come over and verify the win. People from other tables started to crowd around and we were told that our hand was now worth $4500. So they cut us a cheque and placed "20" - $100 dollar chips in front of us. We tipped the 2 other players on the table, as well as the dealer and proceeded to play a few more hands. The next 3 hands consisted of 2 - "3" of a kinds and a 2 pair hand which put us up another $300. We then played 2 more rounds and cashed out.

What a rush :)

I spent the last year of highschool playing everyday with the poker crew. by the end of the year, we had dragged our vice principal in a couple of draws. it was fun.

we should set up a FnK Poker tourney!!

Texas Hold'em is my game. I think I'm pretty good as a non-pro. I mean, I just won a straight flush, right? :)

makign it to the WPT requires at least 10 years of hardcore poker experience....cno one here can compare to the wpt palyers....but im jsut saying out of aanyone on this board...im pretty damn sure im the best holdem palyer...but prove me wrong.....
