Are raves better now, or back in the day?
Back in the day... meaning anytime in the 90's.
Just seems like in the 90's, there was less showing off, and people were truely going for the love of the music. But on the other hand, I'm all about change, and I like seeing new crowds come out. ur thoughts? |

i had more fun 5 years ago, but maybe its just cuz it was new and exciting back then, and there was more people in the scene.
Either way this has been discussed a million times, and i await the plethora of shit storm that is to follow heh.. |

i deff had more fun in 2001 than i did now, but it was just my age, what i was doing back then.. i was 16 and it was fun. now at 20, it isnt. i've grown out of damaging habits, and so many other aspects of it all.
that's what it all boils down to really. |

i like the parties now, i can see more specific DJs that i want.
Sure i might have to go to a club or a mini, but hearing the people i want is worth it sure you dont see the kandy kids and dance crews but if people really wanted to, they could start it up again |

Parties were better back then, but the people were really no diffrent then the newbies now.. Except back in the day everyone was more accepten to how ppl dressed, they didnt care if you were a Kandi kid or a junglest, we just got along.

I had an awesome time back in 2000 but that was because it was all new and exciting. I'm having a lot of fun now. I'm just not so shocked or quickly amused by everything like I used to be. There's a lot of hate in the scene now. But then again it's all in who you are. Every individual has or had different expericences. And the vibes of parties can vary depending if you attend a massive or a small one. I personally like the small ones better. It narrows down the variety of people that attend...to the ones that are there for a certain type of music, dj's or groups who attend depending on the promotor/company throwing the party. I could go off about all that verteran raver babble about the kids in the scene but then I realized something: No matter what the party is like it really is up to you, whether you want to have a good time or not. Sometimes the vibe of the party affects your time. But Other then that, you're the one holding yourself back. Why spend your time bitching about what kind of people are there or all that shit. Just dance! Thats why you came there in the first place isn't it?

I had the most fun at ravey raves between 1998-99 because it was different in the sense that there was more going on. There was often more than one party to choose from on any given weekend night, AND parties were also much cheaper. I was also still living at home and in highschool, so I could be far more irresponsible.
not to say I'm not still having fun though..because hey if you're not having fun what ARE you doing? ;) |
