I personally think that yes alcohol brings out the truth. If the person has only had a couple drinks I would say that at that point they are talking out of their ass, but if a person is wasted, they tend to say shit they shouldnt. Such as secrets that some told to keep private.

But i'd have to agree that wine would make you lose your common sense and say things that you wouldn't normally say. For instance, mouthing off gangsters. You wouldn't do it if you were sober. If you were sober, you'd be smart enough not to mouth off a thug. But, with a little 'liquid courage' you can and will do whatever you damn well please.

NO! i remember there was this guy who really liked me and i wanted nothing to do with him......we were all at the bar and he decided he was going to leave early and take this girl home, all of a sudden I decide I do like this guy afterall....start crying and tell my friends to go tell him not to take the girl home, and that I want to be with him....thank God it was too late to catch him.....
Because in the morning when my friends told me I cracked up....I was happy he met some girl to get his attention off of me.....I had absolutely zero interest in wanting to be with him.

I think It depends on ur mood be4 u get drunk. If you re sad you tend to tell the truth about your problems... If you feel cool and happy u tend to say a lot of bullshit and exaggerate .

its not so much that it brings out the truth, but it gives you an excuse for afterwards.
and so if you're drunk you're more likely to bring up the "truth" and have all that courage because the next day if anyone brings it up...all you gotta do is say "omg i was soooo wasted"
