No, I am not alright, don't think I ever have been,
except as a small child perhaps,
at play in fields of corn,

climbing imaginary mountains

to take trains to Montreal,



I have a message for the masses,
the life you live is shallow, vain and empty,
an empty void encased in the thick greasy shell of money.



How can you put a price on love
a price on happiness
a price on human dignity
and a price on human life.



A pound of gold is worth ten of flesh and gods forfend
the economy is threatened.
The stock market starves

and the government reacts
while children sleep cold and hungry

and they are invisible to us

Green is your envy,

green is your desire

and green is your fuel
for money makes the world go round,



I could bend in the wind and conform to this idea
but I'd rather be a fool

^that is hypocritical to me,seeing as tho obviously he is a slave to the currency just like we all are seeing as tho he obviously owns a computer,which costs money,plus the inter net too that costs money as well...so in theory wouldnt that make him just like us????

the thing about art...all art is that it affects everyone in a different way. The piece was written about the current state of political affairs, but godess does have a right ot her opinion on both the piece and the writer.

I won't deny her comments, as yes, she has a point and of course a right to the opinion she states, just as I have a right to create the art and verse in the method I feel most appropriate.

The the thing about poetry is that is a powerful voice that often bestirs emotion and we should never get down on those who get stirred negatively by a particular piece.
