Age:22 Style of choice: "decorative art"- refashioning objects (clothes, furniture, etc), interior design (just getting interested), collage, singing, dancing Medium of choice: picture frames, furniture in my room, magazines, photos, acrylic, clothes/fabric (and for dancing and singing: me) Duration (how long have you been doing it for): I began sewing and refashioning clothes in 1998, I started making one of a kind picture frames for my best friend in 2002, I got interested in interior design after we reno'd my room last Jan (floor to ceiling and furnishing), and anything else I need to keep myself busy I've done forever... Drawing when I was younger, collages when I got older. I took and excelled in art, visual art (2D + 3D), creative writing, and fashion technology all through high school. I used to write poetry... I've been dancing and singing forever but started taking a class (hip hop) this fall Work Experience (relating to type of art): None... Except for painting the backdrop for my work (k/gr1/2)'s play last year. They want to rope me into doing more props and backgrounds for the years to come. LOL. Influence(s): Home style mags, fashion mags, life, friends, colour, Ikea, Matisse(!!!), my best friend (em carr student), my sister (she's the one with real talent), Ken Done (Australia) Any other information: I haven't made as much time to poor myself into visual journals/sketchbooks as much as I used to, nor do I make/refashion many clothes anymore... I have got more time on my hands now that I only have one job, so I'd like to get back into it. I'm just finally taking time to take a dance class, and I don't think I'll ever take my singing seriously :P Although I love my work, I'm interested in looking at interior design programs. Age: 18 Style of choice: computer graphics, grungy design, vector design Medium of choice: mouse, and tablet Duration (how long have you been doing it for): always been artistic and started designing layouts and graphics for about 2 - 3 years on and off Accomplishments (relating to type of art): - covers for all my yearbooks - honors in design in high school Influence(s): typography = saul bass. Age: 20 Style of choice: writing (poetry, lyrics, essays), graphic design, a little bit of fashion design Medium of choice: pen-on-paper (hehe), adobe photoshop, pagemaker, imageready, b&w sketches, t-shirt screens Duration (how long have you been doing it for): writing since forever (seriously, my kindergarten told my mom I should be a writer when I was in kindergarten, lol), graphic design 4.5 years, fashion design 7 years Work Experience (relating to type of art): poetry/lyrics for self, essays for school, graphic design for flyers and e-mail blasts @ work, nothing for fashion design Influence(s): myself, pop culture, nature, anything that "works" Samples: **see below** most of them are on my work computer, so this is as good as it gets Any other information: well, basically I have no time to do any of this stuff anymore because of the stupid amount I spend working...=\ Hopefully, when I go back to school in September I will feel a whole lot better about my artistic side!
