Sammy: It's quite remarkable to see how far you have come since I first met you.
I guess I should fill my own form out... :| Name: Leslie Age: 21 Style of choice: vector, "anime", mostly bloody or cute drawings (with lots of fetuses) Medium of choice: Almost all digital now (rarely use real mediums anymore), a bit of 'fashion design' here and there... used to write Duration (how long have you been doing it for): drew a bit as a child, started drawing again in grade 7. For photoshop maybe 5 years? writing since grade 8 Work Experience (relating to type of art): worked at the sears portrait studio, a few commission pieces, graphic work for Ion Magazine, nothing serious - I just muck around for fun :) Influence(s): music, poetry, Fruits, sleep dep... I ONLY draw when I haven't really slept... Samples: *I apologize for the sizes of some of these* vector: photography: drawings: Any other information: My dad used to draw a lot as a child, mainly Chinese manga style (think Hero). So I guess it could be a bit of a genetic predisposition that I enjoy art. Mostly just self taught due to boredom. Unsure what I want to do with my art (thinking of expanding the style and working with real mediums again) but I am never really satisfied with the outcome. I might consider taking a few art courses... |

I am passionate about my video games.. I spent 150 document hours (that probably means over 300 hours) on my SNK Card Clash game for the Neo Geo pocket. I played it so much that it no longer works... otherwise I would post pictures. Maybe I will post pictures of my nearly perfect FFTA game. I am up to level 50 (the top level) for a few of my characters and have mastered a lot of classes... Beaten the game already, just must perfect the game. Errr...
I think the point of this thread is I want to see what are people's passions in life. No restrictions on what it is.. |

Name: Clayton (Ever)
Age:21 Style of choice: Graffiti, and starting to do canvas. Medium of choice: Walls, trains, pretty much anything i can paint on. Durration: I've bin into art and drawing my whole life bin got into graffiti about four and a half years ago. Work experience: Mostly all illegal work but lately i've bin starting to do flyers and wanna start designing t-shirts. I also draw alot of stuff for friends. Influence: Alot of thing's have influenced me most people expect a graff writer to say hip hop but that couldn't be further from the truth in my case. I've always liked graff since i was little walking downtown seen pieces by people like krews, ephx, cosoe, and virus i always wished i could do what they do. Then when i was about 16 i use to be really into skateboarding and went to lots of park's where i always saw pieces plus a friend i skated with kinda inspired me to start painting and still encourages me to get better. Plus i like the idea of taking a risk while doing my art and knowing people will see it every day. Samples: http://www.fnk.ca/gallery/showgaller...00&ppuser=2218 Action shot, it was -2 that night we got rolled by the cops in the way home in delta. Last edited by Clayton.; Dec 13, 04 at 04:03 PM. |

to the person asking about capilano:
it rocks, but like i said its for people who are inclined to do the old arts - painting, drawing, printmaking, ect. it is an excellent program to start you bfa with, the training is first class. this is the studio programme im talking about. i dont really know anything about the animation program, all i know is that they always turn off my fucking light and it pisses me off... |
