Too many people don't pay attention to world news or analyze it enough and compare facts...they sit on sites like these that talk shit about shit and don't realize they are sitting in it. Then they march.

Go out into the world my friends...and come back to me with something interesting to say, somehing that will make a difference.

Peace activists are lame...peace this peace that...lazy people march for peace. That's all they know how to do and as the world turns, they march on and on, while nobody with any say really pays attention. You guys are like screen savers. March march march *lalala*

To many people haven't gotten out in there lives to experience the real world these days....They don't understand, and the news that they hear normally they don't care about because it's happening in a different counrty..

But I think its hard to believe in total peace indeed, we need to find a good middle in everything, and I am regreatable to say that news has alot of bullshit as well! You've just given your self the answer ''No one is perfect'' but trying to have a better life like you and me, is it so hard to understand that theres people wanting to live in something better...but then again I believe that we have to find a good middle in everything...''Just like a balance''

see? this is where your assumptions are coming into play. i've only been to one peace march and that was by accident because i was downtown buying a book in chapters and saw them marching by outside.

The people you see starving to death on TV that we are suppose to feel bad about...FUCK THEM. If you are born in a pile of shit then build your house out of shit. I'm sure as hell not going to give them my hard work and no one should. It is manipulative TV. But the people out there leading countries and conforming them into murderous people...sure they should be repremended.


This is an experiment of mine...I have been observing this site for two days now and honestly, I haven't seen much really said. I think this is the first post about politics that I have seen.

You could say that about me?...but then I would be here saying that you directed that question at the wrong person because I don't think that peace answers anything...it is just being ignorant. It's like dyeing of starvation because you won't kill for food. We are human, we kill, we fight and right now there are just too many of us.

They study statistics at university. Or they cover the real footage of war and get kidnapped for ransom. They are just in the way.
These organizers lead a bunch of teenagers and women through downtown holding up traffic for no reason. Peace marches don't solve any problems on the other side of the world. Nobody important pays attention to this except the common citizens that watch local news. Being a peace activist is like self mutilation. I mean...this is politics...not the playground.

^this is making me sad. From what I've seen in the past few months there have been a lot of great political discussions, and there are a lot of smart people on this board. You should check out some old threads and you'll see that there are people who are pretty well informed even on this 'raver' site. I guess 'well informed' is a relative term....I don't want to be attacked for using it too loosely...people on this board are vicious when it comes to things like that and spelling/grammar :)

I'm sad too...70% of canadians don't agree with bush(it is probably more like 90%, but they don't say that because its an embarassment) so I know I'm surrounded. All of my friends, literally, believe that talking is the answer. Whenever the subject arrises I sit back and watch them talk peacefully back and forth about how peaceful the world would be if people just didn't fight. Honestly, if you walk into a room filled with canadians and say "I vote Bush" they will all be like"Oh my god, like why would you do that?! I don't know much, but I do know that Bush is the wrong choice."

I actually wanted some feedback like the real reason for peace marching. Is there a hidden message? Have I been left out of something? I just don't see them coming up with any solid answers.
