Email bank scam.. trickystuff

I caught this in my email today. I was a mockup of a Washigton Mutual email, addressed from [email protected]. Anyway I was curious to see what it was up to so I followed the link. It opened my IE browser (even though Mozza is default) and prompted me to an open, nonsecure account info page. I laughed. Then I noticed my Link bar was all fucked, there was an IP address and then another link covering my Links. Well, enough explaining..

haha, I donno about assholes. there is a couple words for them though..

its some sort of Internet Explorer scripty-codey-thing that places an image over your address bar to mask it. having you believe its the offical bank website. how many people do you think they got ;)

there is no doubt in my mind this would be consider work of hackers. I mean they (the group involved) had to "hack" the code to hide the address. on a smaller scale.. sure. still hackers.
