Nice People Finish Last!!
So its Christmas Day and I am driving to work. I am going down Steveson Highway in Richmond. I slow down because there is always radar in the same location. Sure enough they are there busting people going in the oposite direction from me. So me fealing like being nice for a change decides to warn oncomming traffic of the radar guns. Next thing I know this cop pulls in behind me lights flashing, siren. I pull over. He comes to my window and starts giving me shit and saying how he is gonna give me a $2000 fine for obstructing justice. He asks if I know what its like to show up on Christmas day at parents house telling them that there son or daughter had just died casue they were speeding. He must have been having a bad day cause Tim Hortons was closed. Anyways I give him my licence and paperwork.He leaves for 10 min. then comes back and says he is giving me a break cause he would hate to give me a criminal record.So moral of the story. Don't be nice on Christmas cause nice people finish last and I finish this post by saying Fuck Christmas, Fuck being nice and FUck the Richmond RCMP..Its bad enough I had to work a 10 hour shift in the rain on Christmas day you guys only made it worse..

IMO, you were just doing what the police were doing. Trying to get people to slow down. I don't know what was up that cop's ass, but you heeding warning to speeders in the opposing direction is definately not a bad thing. Even IF you're robbing the cops of a chance to write up one more speeding ticket. Obstructing justic? By telling people to slow down? Give me a break.
Don't let that bad experience bum you out! He's might just be bitter that he's on radar patrol on christmas night rather than at home with his family. I'd be bitchy too.

how do u warn ppl that there's a radar up front?
the rules of steveston highway.. NEVER go more than 75/80 ull get a ticket automatically but if u cruise at 70 its a-ok. even though the speed limit there is 50 km/h....which is way too ridiculously slow for such a busy road.

what i usualy do is when i know i just passed a radar, i constantly high beem the cars that are going on the opposite lane telling them that there is cops around, so if someone does that too you next time u drive, u see a random car has its lights flashing at you, they are giving you some nice advice =)

Police watching the people instead of watching over the people. I guess to serve and protect doesn't apply when it comes to this sort of shit. Good on you for keeping your morals in check, cops should be out catching criminals if you ask me (ie: pimps and drug dealers), not herding people like sheepdogs going at a reasonable speed where there's a completely unreasonable speed limit enforced. Don't fret and keep your head up, you got clean away with it with just a paltry piggy powertrip.
 If you allow yourself to feel victimized here than this cop has already won.

fuck y'all. always remember that sometimes, JUST SOMETIMES, the cops are the good guys too.
road blocks and speeder readers are out to stop people from being clowns. Speeding/Street Racing & drinking and driving in the holiday season aren't unheard of. I still think the whole obstruction of justice thing is bullshit tho.
