do you plan on attending this year? which restaurants?

i absolutely love this event, because i love trying out the new posh restaurants but i'm on a students budget. getting dressed up and rounding up your friends (or a special date) and going out for some gourmet food is fab. last year i went to tropika on robson, capone's, and quattro on west 4th. this year i'd like to go to chambar, diva @ the met, and glowbal, but have to get around to making reservations.

Totally worth it.... hit up The Cannery last year. I'm hoping to do at least 2 to 3 restaurants in this year!

hm, yes, very busy indeed. i couldn't get the day i wanted for glowbal, chambar isn't open til the 9th so i left a message, and you can only make reservations for C between certain times. :|

Parkside has the best drinks in the city, hands down, but I haven't tried their food, same goes for Zin.

I'd like to check out Lumiere again, their food is pretty top shelf. Wild Rice too.

I haven't been to a lot of these places, I'll need some reccomendations.

The Cannery would be a great choice, the last time I took a date there dinner came to about $250 including tip.

lumiere is garbage for the amount of money you pay and the amount of time you have to wait for a reservation. lumiere is just another 'flavour of the month' restaurant. i think most of the people go there just becuase it is lumiere and for the most part couldn't tell if the meal was actually worth the amount of money they paid for it.

there are 50+ restuarants in this city that have better food for half the price.

The last time I took a date there I proposed to her..... I'M NEVER GOING BACK!!!
Actually we're going back on the 1 yr anniversary of me proposing to her on the 27th of January. :)
