That aside... http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/06/bu...crossfire.html Mr. Klein specifically cited the criticism that the comedian Jon Stewart leveled at "Crossfire" when he was a guest on the program during the presidential campaign. Mr. Stewart said that ranting partisan political shows on cable were "hurting America." Mr. Klein said last night, "I agree wholeheartedly with Jon Stewart's overall premise." He said he believed that especially after the terror attacks on 9/11, viewers are interested in information, not opinion. |

This is just a reflection of the increasing polarization going on down there. Apparently the split in the population is being played out in their media consumption - liberals are sticking to 'liberal' outlets like CNN, and the right-wing-nuts are sticking to the psycho-jingoistic outlets like FoxNews. CNN probably dumped Tucker because he was too much of a ranting conservative for their viewer base who, like most Americans seem to today, only want to see their own views and opinions reflected back to them through the media. Its a real problem. Everyone is blinding themseves to everything except what they want to see.
That said, fuck Tucker Carlson. That guy is a little piece of shit. |

okay... as much as I like jon stewart and as much as I dislike tucker carlson, a lot of what jon was saying about the show, I felt, put him in the wrong... its kinda like inviting someone over for dinner and having them tell you how shitty the meal was, and if I was tucker carlson, I'd be pissed off too... but thats just my opinion and its still good ridence...
