I've found Mandrake Linux Distro 10.1 to be the most user friendly in terms of newbie guides.. if your an advanced user you might wanna checkout the Libranet Distro it's pretty sweet. I also agree that 2k Pro is much superior to XP only because I don't have to disable so much crap in 2k that I do in XP. I also feel more confident in my OS when I get control over what it is doing and since XP is an OS that trys to do everything for you and then makes it a real bitch to change when you want to manually input/change settings, I'll take 2k pro/adv serv any day..
