The new skytrain section is finally opened
Well only two of the stations are actively working at the moment ... but i'm sure the rest will follow in a couple of years ... Blah .... but at least this will get me two more station closer to downtown.
And now they are planning to raise the bus ticket price up again (like it isn't freaking expensive enough) because they underbudgeted the project (by a couple million). Also now they have installed those stupid money counters on the buses so now it is almost impossible to cheat translink. Well ne-who happy commuting |

i'm so glad they decided to cut the skytrain services in surrey down to 1/3 because of the new lines.
it's not like... i dunno... 50% of commuters come from surrey in the morning... it's not like the skytrains are packed once they train gets to scott road or anything like that... no of course not... translink smart like rock. |
|
|||
is it that bad that they took some of the skytrains from Surrey? .... oohhh u have to wait an extra 5 minutes for a train. Honestly i don't get it ... i don't really see what the ncessity for it was ... i thought that the "Millennium" section had their own trains.
fuck it doesn't matter i hate translink ... they have screwed me over way to many times. |

It sometimes depends on the day of the week, but in the morning, it's usually pretty crowded on the skytrain in Surrey (getting a seat by the time it reaches Scott Road? yeah, good luck!). I thought they were only cutting the number of trains on the old line until they fixed whatever was wrong with the new trains and got them on track.
Oh well, I cheat the system anywayz with my way expired college Fast Track sticker, so I can't complain too much. What's the point anywayz... they never listen. *demented hugz* ~ Trinity ~ |

ya.. they're not the smartest..
the new skytrain stations..t hey each where built a little different to "match the neighbourhood" it's like AWWW POOR BABIES!! THEYRE SKYTRAIN STATION DOESN T MATCH THEIR NEIGHBOURHOOD! i hope they go cry about it.. it's dumb.. and they will be raising fares.. in april or something? not right now.. [to my knowledge anywayz] and y'know another thing? they have the.. stuff or whatever it is to have a station li ke a subway [where you have to pay kinda thing before you go in]. they've got the stuff.. they got it to save them all this money from ppl who ride without paying.. and now..t hey don't even have enough money to install the program!! HAHA FUCKERS.. |

... And yes, I'm aware that Translink is dumb and should be concentrating on lowering their administrative costs first... I'm just telling you what they're doing. ][nkster |

The things that bothered me the most ..
* When I worked in Burnaby I remember driving and being late for work several times a week due to construction and getting in shit for it.
*I also remember long waits driving along Lougheed Hwy trying to get home. *Now that the system is functional they're still using old train cars on new tracks because of a computer glitch that has problems opening and closing doors. I'm sick of transit now....bus strikes and now skytrain problems. I'm with Ish on this one. They have far too many people making six figure incomes on the board. Cut the salaries and hire some cheapos. |

But the sad truth is, no matter how much peopple hate Translink, they can't do anything about it.
LOTS of people rely on public transit, and Translink knows that. Even after the amazingly long bus strike, most still came back to using the busses even if they hated the company. I hate translink, but I use it. I, as an individual can't do anything about it. |

Braid and Sapperton are now open. Make it closer and easier for us people who use transit in the tri-cities. It really does, but the rest of the MILLENIUM LINE lol, won't be completed until June 2002. SOME MILLENIUM LINE EH haha :D:
Ah well its better than nothing. |

yey for the 2 new stations.. easyer for some of us to get places... they also cut some buses too .. which totally sucks.. but of well they had to screw us somehow.right? i mean c'mon its translink we talkin about here.
