What gets your attention most in regards to rave flyers?
I was just wondering what people pay the most attention to when it comes to flyers. I usually first pay attention to the design. But then I get interested into whether or not the event is going to differentiate itself from other parties.

Doom likes a flyer that looks just plain weird, bonus points for the following as well:
-No dj/live pa bios -No dj/live pa affiliations -Genre that each dj/live pa plays, conviently placed beside their name on the flyer. -Graphic viloence/gore somehow worked into the flyer design |

Soemthing that looks unique... stands out from the rest.. isn't your regular flyer that just looks like everything else.
I'm not gonna lie.. but usually a bright color does catch the eye. I guess basically how flyers were designed back in 1999/2000. |

I like unique concepts, all of those big rave poster flyers with cheesy computer generated images do nothing for me.
Ones I can remember: Jungle For Dummies (just all around well done, not huge, and also was funny) Rinse (NYE party held in a laundrymat, so the flyers were little pieces of cotton that looked like tshirt tags. SO COOL) Nickel Bag of Funk (little tiny flyers inside dimebags!) Unique concepts are always totally memorable and eye catching. I think keeping it simple and small is also a huge bonus . |

I remember cool ones like that myra. I still have one called house of love or something where it was a little package that had a condom inside. others too, I just can't remember them all right now.
if the flyer is big enough to line my drawers then it's too big. |
