If you could meet anyone dead or alive......
....who would it be and why?
I would want to meet Cleopatra because I like to peel grapes before I eat them and she had people do that for her and stuff. Then I'd bring her to a rave and get her high on XTC and then fuck her too while she's passed out. markpaul :384:

First off Cleopatra wasn’t only a seductress
she was a genius I highly doubt she would ever (if born in this time) attend a rave she craved power and she always got it. secondly my dead beloved. Just to see him before he died maybe he had some emotional part left in his body

I would be enthralled by meeting Bjork Guðmundsdóttir, Oscar Wilde, and my mom's mom(my grandmother who died 5 years before I was born). Or/ a Tsimpsian ancestor from pre-colonization, because that reality also enthralls me.

seriously, as cool as all these people of history and various famouses are, i don't really think i could constructively ask any one of them anything. is it really fair to capitalize someones time because you think it would be neat or cool? what if you met your person and they turned out to be something different, thier personality didn't rock. you met someone from history that was a bigot or a womanizer or a drug user or.... well, hated you. granted, i may have somewhat of an ego - but i am not currently on the intellectual level of anyone who interests me greatly. what would me and kafka talk about? the man is a genius and escaped anonymity and his book being banned and burned in his own country to become one of the 20th century's greatest writers. what information could i get out of ee cummings between sips of absinthe that isnt in a book? the man has volumes of his soul laid bare in beautiful poetry, but 30 minutes with the man wouldn't give me an inkling of what he feels or hopes or dreams. akira kurosawa has made bautiful films all his life, but has also attempted suicide twice. why? i don't know. is it my place to ask? is it anyones right to know? i just don't think meeting someone could fulfill me. it would be nice, i could tell my friends and chalk one up on the blackboard. but i could never know someone or get comfortable past a 'worshipper/idol' standpoint. i dunno what im getting at really. but if i had to choose, probably those 4, but ask me tomorrow and ill say another 4, just because it's such a weighted question. blah blah. r.
