I dunno about you guys, but when i goto a DNB show i like to feel the bass and hopefully the PA system will be accurately setup so that things sound good. I don't wanna walk around with headphones on all night.. if things get hot, the headphones will get gross and cumbersome. Sounds like a great idea to try, but i don't see the implications being some "new" thing everyone will love.

I Think I'd have more fun watching people all dance to no music...hearing the pounding of feet, and feeling it in the ground would be weird. It'd be surreal, very eery.
Your friend bobs on through the crowd at the rave, and spots you. They start walking towards you. As you get close you both lower you earphones, and speak to each other in regular voices, among a sea of flailing, dancing, gyrating, boogie-in', silent people, in front of a silent stage. Think I'd pass. |

I think it's a neat idea. I've seen a commercial for it somewhere. A huge party on a beach and everyone is using headphones. It is a compromise between the partiers and the residents. I wouldn't mind I guess. But I love the bass vibrating through my body. I like it loud. It'd be a solid solution for those nights when you come out of a party and your ears are still ringing days later.

i think this is pretty wack cuz i love the feeling of pounding bass in my chest. they should include some more devices that enhance that feeling. hehe
but in the end i guess it's better then nothing. i wonder how much more it would cost to completely advance sound proofing acoustics? a 100% sound proof building would not only not leak sound but would also make the room sound SOOOO sick |
