Reverse Discrimination
Reverse racism: An example would be giving the black man a job over the white man who was equally qualified because of all the years of oppresion his ancestors had experienced.
Reverse Discrimination: Giving entrance into Law School to a person in a wheelchair because school policy is to admit a certain number of disabled people in each year. So reverse racism/discrimination, do you see it as a problem today? Have you been a victim of it? |

I agree with you. I'd just like to know how far it goes these days and how many people it actually effects and how. |

The term reverse is entirely relative. It only means that something it directed in the opposite direction than convention dictates. |

i'll admit to feeling slighted by my inability to fill certain grad school positions or receive certain scholarships because of my unfortunate WASPness... but then i do realize that such controls have been necessary to create a more equal global community. the question is whether or not such controls are still necessary, or whether they've transgressed into promoting more discrimination, rather than less. i think we're now getting to the point, at least in this particular socio-economic status and situation, where these controls are being abandonned.

I've gotten horrible service in sushi restaurants or chinese cuisine restaurants bc I'm white. I know that's what it is, bc if I come in with another white friend I get shit service, but if I come in with an asian friend it's all gravy. Pfft.
All in all, racism and discrimination (reverse or "conventional") really seems old fashioned. |

I don't mind being discriminated against because of my color..I mean if they don't want to like me, then I could care less...I'll just be extra nice and cast a spell on them secretly~
Then they can't help but like you and give you good service because they want your tip..but I never forget when a waitor is chincy on the wasabi and when I ask for more they point at my wasabi and say "there it is...you've got some" and walks away. Or says "um, yes wy-od. Wy-od samon...yes." |

summed up...reverse racism is even more ridiculous than racism. People are racist..it's natural...just like when I walked through this chinese convention and I was dodging everyone because they wouldn't make eye contact with me. I was the only person walking in a zig zag, because I was white. They perhaps didn't even know I was there. Maybe asians are blind to white people...that's what I thought after that ordeal;P HAHa*
