Stupid Hit and Run

So on Saturday me and my buddies are out in Surrey eating at Pho Hoa. When we leave around 1am I look to my car and voila someone must have grazed my car and knocked off my passenger side mirror, or maybe some random fuck decided to just pull it off (I would assume though that if someone decided to do so they would take the mirror with them and not leave it on the ground).

Anyone know where I can get a replacement for cheap? I checked out Lordco, and they would have to order the part and it would cost $62. Jimmy Pattison would cost me about $115. I have been told though that auto wreckers may have them for even more cheap, but I know of none anywhere. The part in question is for a 94 or 96 (I'll have to check) Pontiac Firefly. It's a side view mirror and it's of the non-powered variety.

To those who hit and run: A POX ON YOU AND YOUR KIND

should maybe talk to your insurance company, or auto association if you're part of them, they can usually cover that sorta stuff. If not you can always go dump diving or junkyard rummaging for parts if you want real cheap prices :D otherwise i'd stick with lordco, $62 doesn't seem too bad

first of all.. dont go to pho hoa anymore.. go earlier in the day to the place across from it.. (well diagonal), its the 3.99 pho restaurant.. MUCH better and its cheaper too.

and yea, you should go to a wrecker for a part like that. scott road has a whole whack of junkyards where you can find parts for all types of cars. i believe ralphs has a domestic lot, you should find what youre looking for there, if not somewhere else on that long strip on scott road near the bridge, you cant miss it.

Awesome awesome! These scrap yards sound promising. Scott Road in Surrey eh...I'll have to check that out this week. Barring that, looks like it's Lordco.

One more thing, does anyone know how to find out what year your car is?

I'm asking because the Lordco guy said the ordered part would not be refundable and that the part in question might not work for both models, so he told me to make sure. I've never had this kind of thing happen before, so I didn't know where to get that particular info. That, and I am a total n00b.
