The cards are alright but they aren't as skilled as some of the stuff that's been posted here... however john avon is freakin' sweet... like this painting for example

The thing with cards is that the artwork used for them is cropped and centered to fit on the card for aesthetic reasons. The canvas used to make the original artwork is almost always a different size than the dimensions on a magic card, plus it has to be downsized to fit so it can't show as much detail, so they kind of look unimpressive online. In real life, they look much better, and when you see the original artwork blown up online or in real life, you get a better view of the artwork and you get to see just how awesome some of the artwork really is. These internet links don't do justice.
