That’s not the argument they’re making. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US acts as a government sanctioned regulatory committee that claims to be in charge of the public’s safety. Only food and drugs they approve make it on the shelves. How much does it cost to pass a typical drug? Try 800 million dollars.

How does one come across 800 million dollars? Well if you have a synthetic cocktail that can be patented and exploited for billions, then no problem. If you have a TRULY effective herbal remedy readily found in nature, well then you won’t find investors will you? More importantly, your medicine won’t get that golden sticker of approval and it is effectively “illegal” and won’t get to the people who need it. What we have here then is the basic definition of racketeering, that has government sanctioned power of monopoly, and holds back the progress of society.

ICBC is running the same scam with their spontaneous concern for the environment in the form of "air care"

As far as not having a snap election right now I'm very happy. The federal budget looks pretty decent and I don't think it's appropriate to make an election the judge and jury of this scandal. I want to see the people responsible face criminal charges and as much of the money should be recovered as possible.
meh
