happy with results of the confidence vote?
i'm happy that we are not going to an election right now, and that Harper's political vulture plan didn't work; however, i'm not pleased with the way that the Liberal party seemed to scramble and grasp for anyway possible that they could hang onto power. i mean, i understand why they were doing what they were doing, but it looked so desperate and pathetic.

Funny..how I'm the only vote for "no"
I say the Liberals look weak ass now that they had to have that whole fiasco. They're a bunch of fucking losers though, the way they cheer and shit. The opposition is laughing at them. What a fucking bunch of teamsters. They should've had an election now..not later...I'd like to see if it changes anything. Now they have some extra time to cover the bullshit up to get votes...ridiculous...if we had suprise elections on all parties...then we'd actually get somewhere. They tear shit up for three years...then in the last year they make up some good statistics to "appear" to be forreal.. All in all..the definition of a politician never contained the word real. Whatevs* Canada TM has always been weak! |

Face it, an election right now is a bad idea. The public does not want one, at all. It's too early, it's a waste of money at this point. Wait till the government has a chance to actually do something. All in all though, the convservitives look really bad after this. They went against public opinion which is never a good idea. |

It's business...the most important business in our country. Only people that question their abilities to win cheer. So yeah..I'd hope they wouldn't cheer. It'd make me feel like they were more in control. Not playing teety totter with the voting system. To me, they looked like FOOLS. Just smile and do the fist pump*..like "In your face." pick up your books say..."It was a close race..but the right people won." and make for the door to get back to work.. I wouldn't agree with anything they do in that "crazy house". They argue like children, repeat themselves like low-life salesmen and jeer like hockey fans. I'd hope they were a little more sophisticated than the rest of us...but they're worse. |

The debate procedures that the Parliament chooses is not by any means respectable..by my standards;P It's good for TV, and it seems to be the accepted way to go about creating a democracy..but they have no prestige...if you know what I mean. I can eat a hot dog with more class.

Here's a choice quote from their platform, "We are opposed to government restrictions on the voluntary choices adults make with respect to food stuffs, sex, drugs, bicycle helmets and rock climbing." For the sake of people that happen to be this fucking stupid it's a good thing we do have laws regarding public safety. BC Libertarian Party http://www.libertarian.bc.ca/ Federal Libertarian Party http://www.libertarian.ca/ As far as not having a snap election right now I'm very happy. The federal budget looks pretty decent and I don't think it's appropriate to make an election the judge and jury of this scandal. I want to see the people responsible face criminal charges and as much of the money should be recovered as possible. Last edited by Senior; May 23, 05 at 08:04 AM. Yes and No.
After us the taxpayers were taken for 100 million dollars, I have big problems with the Liberal party, and the corruption of it's leadership. This is whois running our country, and it shouldn't be! Now with news of bribery on the non confidence vote, the stench of corruption isn't going away. The saying "shot yourself in the foot" doesn't work here. The words "blew my leg off" fits the current situation of the Liberal party. However another election would cost over 100 million dollars, and we the taxpayers don't need another bill like that. The Liberal party should ask for resignations from all people remotely involved with the Sponsorship Scandal. They should elect a new leader, so that maybe on just a chance the Liberal party can save some face. Maybe Belinda could do better! lol Quote:
