Approval ratings for national ID card in Britian was at 80% opposed of it before the attack, people went as far as saying that would riot against it. Now with people fearing of more attacks they will be begging for it. With any crime you have to look at who stands to gain and this case Blair's fingerprints are all over it.

Canada, the US and Mexico are not likely to go as far as creating a universal currenecy. A much more likely possibility is that ASEAN will, and it's likely they are going to be the next area of the World that could form an entity similar to the EU. Canada, the US and Mexico don't have a common set of social norms that would fit into that sort of arrangement and are not on a similar enough footing to make a shared currency attractive.
Not to discredit everything you guys are saying but it might not hurt to diversify where you get your information. |
