i had it in my pocket for like 20 mins, while i was talking with someone.
i pulled it out, and the screen was all warped and distored. i cannot figure out what happened to it, the only thing i can think of is that it was in the same pocket as my cell phone. so maybe that had something to do with it, it looks like someone took a magnet to my screen. |

Oh Ouch. You could bullshit to them and tell them that your computer isn't reading your iPod and that you've tried the soft reset and everything and even tried the online help that their site provides.
That maybe able to get you a brand new iPod. BTW I doubt that this will work but you can try doing a soft reset Hold down the Menu button and the Selection button together for about 6 - 8 seconds until you see the apple screen again. |

nope, that doesnt work.
it's actual physical damage to the screen. when i took it in, they said that it looks like i applied too much pressure to the screen (which is barely true). apparently the lcd screen is cracked and the 'ink' has leaked onto the rest of the screen. i can understand their hesitation to refund it, however i fail to see how having it in my front pocket for 10 minutes can fall under the category of 'mishandling'. if the screen was able to crack after having very minor amounts of pressure applied to it, it leads me to believe that there might have already been a tiny crack in the screen. which is bullshit, considering that because of that i could be basically out of 500$. anyways, i really need some more suggestions on who can repair it. |
