Personally when I was a kid in a class of 30+ the teacher couldn't handle me alone, whats going to happen when you have classes of 40+ with and unlimited amount of disabled students to work with? Wouldn't you rather some room and education for yourself? What happens when you have an arithmatic question to ask and the teacher is too busy dealing with something else? Do you think that is fair education? If you have been educated by a private school you have nothing to worry about besides the increased crime onto you in the next few years. The public centers will get shit.

People who can't remember the past make the same mistakes over and over.

I feel sorry for the people who think this is a good move.

40+ students? lets be realistic here..the government lets the school boards decide what to cap classroom sizes at. you know schoolboard trustess? people who actually know how to run a school..the classroom sizes shouldn't be dictated by a union leader who is only intrested in reducing teachers workloads, and securing a lucrative career for himself. i do believe the current cap for classroom sizes in the coquitlam school district for primary grades is 24 and for older grades is 32...now that dosn't seem like a big deal..and its unlikely that the SCHOOL BOARD, the ones who determine classroom sizes, will drasticly raise the cap to 40+ students..besides you really think 40 students is a big deal? what about univesity? most of my classes have 150-300 students in them and i can manage..its no big deal at all. how about japan and korea where students consistently score higher then Canadians, and i believe the average class sizes there are 40-50 students.

you can't have a 40+ class size. even though now class sizes aren't dictated for the teacher, the entire district needs to have an average class size of 30.

so if there is a 40+ class, they need to make an under 20 class somewhere else, which is equally as stupid.

I try not to get involved in debates where I don't know enough to present an informed opinion.

Although, if asked to point out the manipulative devices used in this thread, I probably could spend a whole day on this thread. It's full of rhetoric and bullshit justifications of opinion....on either side.
