you could try drinking more water

once you have slowed down, lift the arm of the side that the cramp is on, and focus on your breathing - in with your nose out with your mouth, deep long and slow. this tends to hurt more at first, but gets it gone in about 10-20 seconds.
as for preventing it - sometimes its just a diaphram cramp so focusing on your breathing can be helpful. if its muscular, banana's and water help out in the prevention. but it seems like it would be the first - like a stitch in your side, since it starts once you start to bring up your cardio. maybe stretching your chest before you jump on would help, or slowing down your beginning pace, letting your breathing ease into the jog.

i loove running. i start out slow, then i gradually increase the incline and speed. yaow!
might be that your body needs salt if you're getting cramps.

too much salt is bad as well though... i'm sure you know the deal.
