Hey Lauren,
sounds like you've got er' covered... i usually start at the bottom and work my way up.. for example, i'll do my calves and spread that up behind my legs onto thighs... then rub it in REALLL well.. and whatever is kinda left over in my hands i lightly go over my knees and ankles.. VERY LIGHTLY... pretend you have brown paint in your hands, cuz essentially you do:) wash your hands EXTREMELY well after, even use some nail polish remover on ur palms if you can. My personal fave is Loreal Sublime Bronze Dark Lotion... the lotion is better than the gel imo, cuz its supppper moisturizing so you dont need much and its easy to really rub it in evenly so u dont streak. You may get a bit of orange knucles or ankles ur first time but its just like learning to apply makeup when ur a kid.. we've all had the blue eyeshadow or racoon eye catastrophe at some point.. self tanner is no different, you just need to start off easy (use a light or medium) and practice.. find out what works for you. Everyone is different. Lots and LOTS of girls use self tanners now days (so we can all stay young and hot right thru 40) uv tanning has become the smoking of today... so self tanners are a safe alternative. Dont be too embarassed if you blotch somewhere on ur first try because i would safely say most girls that have tried self tanner have had a slight miss hap at some point :) |

haha yah well it started to fade pretty fast i noticed. By the end of my houseboating trip is wasn't that noticable anymore. and that was only a week. But I don't really need it anymore. I've been working outside for the last month or so. So I've got a lot darker. Still wearing 30-45 spf though. I still have half a bottle of the stuff but I don't know if i'll try it again or not.
