buntzen lake

just got back.. spent the day there drinkin brews... it was great... we paddle inflatable boats all the way across to the other beach.. it took 1.5 hours to get there but it was well worth it... water was decent to.. .. its a nice place..

my sis was there today too. with friend who had a boa (or two) at the lake. she told me there were snakes in the lake and i totally believed her. duh. I wanted to beach it up today, but got upto other things instead.

it was good times.. nice and hot with a cool breeze... if you go.. then go to the second beach on the other side of the lake.. it is 10 times better than the main beach.. no little shit kids running around and yelling

Nice! Thanks for the tip. I work with kids all week so its nice to not be around them so much on the wknd. But they are everywhere. EVERYWHERE!

its a 45 min walk around the lake.. or a long ass boat ride if you paddle. or you can rent a boat for 50 bucks a day.. it would be alot faster then using an inflatable one.. my arms and chest are sore as fuck... it was worth it though.. i think we spent more time getting there and back then actually sitting on the beach.. lol... ill go earlier next time so we can spend more time chillin out and swimming

^ Haha! But now you have a story to tell. Good adventure! I need some lakeside beach action asap. My summer is whizzing by! And ya, getting there early is key. Beaches fill up long before the prime tanning hours have begun. Mmm... beaching.

We wish we could have met you there sunday, we just had to much to do. I was sad, i really wanted to go and play in boats.

buntzen lake is an alright place i loved it out there when i was kid. i use to live fairly close around when i lived in moody

white pine is alright but fishing in buntzen is fun

no i havnt.. but many sources have told me that its drity and there are alot of hardcores there. these sources also say buntzen isbetter..

its just water, i say next time ur there, just give'er. hop in, if u find a good cliff its only like 40 feet tall. thats not too bad and u pretty much just hop off , no rocks or anything near your landing spot.

I'm loathe to say this as I'm quite protective of this lake; I've been coming here before EVERYONE started coming here...

About 20 minutes in, around 3 bridges past or ~ 15 minutes from North beach, there's a place 40 feet up where you can pretty much cliff dive into at least 30 feet of water.

And honestly, the beach of White Pine is better, but it's true - the water in Buntzen's a lot cleaner....the further you are from the dog area...
