freaking religious post
GOSH!!One thing that is kinda rediculous but true.. people get so mad when people bring up the subject of God, more than any other religion. okay. i think alot of it is cause theres so many stupid "chritstians" out there that are total hypocrits or there are the others that are really anal and go to church and thats it. or preach on the side of the road and tell the world were all going to hell... bla bla bla i totally believe in God. and i belive in Jesus. and i believe he loves me no matter what i do. so ill be me and not what church or religios people tell me to be. I have my beliefs and other people have theirs right. I have no right to say who's right and who's not. We'll all find out when we die and thats it. Im sick of people knocking what other people believe in. If you believe in something, that should be good enough. Just dont preach about it or think that everyone else in the world is wrong. thats screwed up. Just do what you do and be who you are. right?

Really, the ability to believe in a higher power than yourself isn't difficult. All you have to do is look at the scope of the cosmos, and all the unbelievable power that dwarfs our mightiest creations, to realize mankind isn't the crowning achievment, no matter how amazing it is that we can even begin to comprehend it. However, it's something completely different to ask all of mankind to devote our worship to a higher power when there is no proof one way or the other that He/She/It/They had a direct influence on us (planting the original DNA molecules here on a primitive Earth; tapping primitive apes for an evolutionary spurt; etc.). If all we did was devote our lives to servitude, then wouldn't that be going against the wishes of such a creater that gave us the ability to explore the cosmos, to one day meet Him/Her/Them on a level playing field and, perhaps as with all parents who wish well for their offspring, even evolve beyond? |

Whole thing about the number 23. 17 follows alongside of it, I think because 1+7=8 and 8= 2^3 or something. Makes it kinda fun when you realize the prez is known by the 23rd letter of the alphabet. And these books were written in the 70s. I tried to read Schroedinger's Cat Trilogy once by borrowing it. Later on I bought it and never did finish it... Thus bringing the Schroedinger's Cat Trilogy principle: You may either own or read this book, but never both simultaneously. Robert Anton Wilson is an excellent trip down a bit of confusion and discord into making politics fun again. |
