hell if fleury breaks out, they could easiliy have a top tier goalie too. and as stated by others they got tarnstrom and jackman too. absolutely impressed with the way pittsburgh is running things. *oh yea, ziggy is a huge addition, definetely props. |

Until i see him dominate the NHL I will continually say Pitts will be a good team in a COUPLE or FEW YEARS. but yes pitts is puttin together a very good team. Apparently they have an investor helping them. Would make sense u think this money is invisible? |

im sticking to Pens being the most improved team this year. I hear they wanna add one more top six forward, one more D man, and a veteran goalie to help out Fleury in the pipes. I predicted Ziggy in Pittsburgh, so I'll give it another try. Forwards will be ither Jozef Stumpel or Anson Carter im leaning more toward them getting Stumpel tho, D Man will be Roman Hamrlik, and goalie will be Sean Burke. They have the possiblity of getting CuJo but i dont think thats smart, Joseph would play to many games and have Fleury not get enough experience, plus CuJo would come at a little too high of a price. For the money hes worth Burke is a perfect fit. So lets see, Mario, Recchi, Crosby, Malkin, Palffy, Stumpel, Malone, Morozov, Kraft. D Man will be Gonchar, Tarnstrom, Jackman, Hamrlik, and a stay at home d man in Melichar. Goalies, Marc Andre Fleury, and Sean Burke as a Mentor and to help out on the 82 games schedule.
Instant Contender if it goes the way I say which word is those players are heading to Steel Town. |

I do see them improving and getting into the playoff's though and prob at high standing like 6th in their conference maybe even as high as 5. but they also gotta deal with the STILL stacked Flyers,, and moderatly stocked maple leafs. I would like to see Fleury get to try the start as the full time goalie. I dunno about Sean Burke in net. |

Its not about being stacked, its about having Chemistry. Mario and Recchi are well known to have chemistry, and i can't see why crosby wouldn't click with those 2 guys. As for the rest of the team, there defentley going to be an Offensive minded team, i see a lot of 6-4 games in the future. The days of defense i think are gone, and this benefits the Pens more then anyone in the league, because Management has always liked to put together a high flying team. Either way, this season is gonna fun to watch.

Now only if Anson Carter would drop his price a bit...... |

not too mention no one knows what the lines are gonna be other than mario and crosby playing together. also throw in that mario and crosby are both centers so most likely for the time being crosby is gonna have to get used to playing as a winger. I know they will be a very good team once everything clicks but i don't think that will happen in the first season the second i see it happening. i dunno why b ut i see anaheim actually doing well too. |

yea I know Mario plays as a center and winger, but with his size especially on this new penguins team I think he would be better suited for the position.
but as you said it will i won't say 100% but most likely be crosby centering it until otherwise something comes up. Either way what I am saying is the Pens will improve no doubt.. well its not hard to improved from last place lol but i don't think they are gonna excel rite out of the gates until the next season is what I am saying. |

Example---If the Canucks had been BETTER the season following the shitty loss to the Rangers back in the day, then McLean would still be around with the canucks. It is the attitude of the team that makes them who they are. The goalie is still at least 60% responsible for the way the team puts up the points in the standings. On a side note: expect Bertuzzi not to be as big of a star when he comes back. He will not show the same physical emotion he once played his game. He will be schizophrenic on the ice because any big hit a player takes off of him will make him prone to another penalty call in his favour. That, or he will want to get traded when he does not produce like he used to. |
