Who is gonna have the best team come the 2006 NHL season.
Man with all the trades going around the makers of NHL 2006 can't even start because even they have no idea who is gonna be on what team.
So my question is with all the trades and team rosters changing so much which team(s) are gonna improve as a result of trades. I see Florida making the playoff's. Pittsburgh won't for a few more years, but watch out in 3 or 4 years they will have two decent lines. Canucks even with naslund are still a team of free agents, we don't even have jovo and ohlund signed yet. So yea who knows with all the trades but post back and leave feedback lets get this almost extinct section back on its feet. |

I think Pittsburgh will be making the playoffs this year. They got a hella offensive blueline tho right now, Gonchar, Tarnstrom and Ric Jackman who got 17 points in his last 12 games last year. Gonna have to add some more muscle on the blueline. Supposdley there close to adding a top notch goalie, and also a top notch forward, rumors are ither Ziggy Palffy or Peter Bondra. They got money to spend this year, and with added players like i mentioned plus Mario, Recchi, Crosby and one of the best rookies last year Ryan Malone they've got 2 solid lines, a good blueline, and a good goalie depending on who they sign. Theres my prediction for most improved team

this is a super hard question, we have to remember that teams that were good before might suck now just because of the rule changes, im thinkin fast young teams are gona do alot better then the old NHL also teams that are prone to tie alot might pick up alot of wins if they have some hot shooters.

I think though the canucks aren't a young team that they are gonna excel with the supposidly less clutch and grab *trap* style of hockey coming.
P.S: Anaheim just picked up Scott Neidermayer. Thats so cool Scott and Rob Neidermayer are gonna be on the same team. Yes Oilers are looking good with Mike Peca and Pronger but as Cdn Brdr said so perfectly fuck the oilers. |

I'd say Vancouver...everyone else is scoring big name Unrestricted Free Agents, but that's just a band aid...we got a really good core team. Calgary is getting scary though...but when I think about the best the thing to come out of Calgary (the road to Vancouver) I start feeling better.

I actually don't mind Calgary nearly as much as Edmonton. The glory barons are gone my friends. Oilers are dead to me now.
In my order of canadian teams are Canucks, Montreal, Calgary, Ottawa than Edmonton and finally I hate toronto everything about them cept for their coach |

damnit bobby..... on the verge of bad karma but you are too cool for that....
Habs rule..... so far I'd say that Edmonton is lookin wicked right now.... The rest is so open, but Calgary will definitely be contending...> it's a great time for Canadian teams!! |

canucks. because we're gonna be one of the few teams that keeps it's core. and trust me, i don't wanna go through constant chemistry crap again.
*provided todd doesn't bolt. but where/who is gonna take him? he's a freaking villian in every american city. so all we really have to do is probably add a few mid level type players. i'm thinking in the 2-3million range. all the big signings look great, but of pronger, hatcher, forsberg, leetch there's potential injury and chemistry problems there. age IS a factor and with the exception of leetch, all have had a major injury within the last 2 years. is that a risk you want to take for 4-5.5mill a year? FUCK THAT! that being said, i gotta give props, it's nice to see canadian teams actually signing a few guys, or in mtl's case getting kovalev to stay. like that was gonna happen 2 years ago. so as an optimistic canucklehead, we looks good at the moment. and i'd have to say the same of ottawa, they are in a similar situation, but with a deeper roster. *last thing. sedins. they are done teasing. except them to step it up this year. |

I love this unrestricted free agent signing going on right now. It's getting everyone pumped! However there's no "I" in team. Picking up a huge player doesn't mean shit, if it throws off the team chemistry!
I'm thinking getting the brothers playing for the Ducks is going to be dangerous! Vancouver getting rid of Malik and Sopel is a little scary...considering the chemistry thing. However I do believe Allen is going to make a big different this year, last year...he was a one man wrecking crew! |

I thnk philly, boston are gonna have solid teams, the canucks have the foundation for a solid team but they still gotta sign ohlund.
calgary looks good. I think edmonton is improved but not enough yet. chicago may or will closely not make the playoff's. i think i am gonna make a post about all 30 teams soon |
