lol so if cooke doesn't sign, you will know why and the Anson Carter will not be such a good deal will it?
oh well... YOU GUYS can hope.

but the public has been very vocal on how they prefer cooke over carter so we'll see what happens.

um, don't worry guys, cooke will play for us this year. we own his rights.

if not, then he'll sit. that being said, i still like cooke and hope the canucks don't try to screw him. but i don't think he's worth 1.5mill though. maybe a multi-year 1mill/year deal though.

IF this is really a case of anson or cooke, i'd pick cooke.

btw: why do turds always call them the sedin sisters? they've shown steady improvement in their career, and have consistently played hard. not to mention the only other good player from that draft year was martin havlat. so it's not like they are some crazy draft bust.

^ very good point.

Drafts are come and goes. Some years its like a palace full of talent and than other years its dry as a dessert.

i like cooke too, he embodies heart in everyway. So does linden though but he's getting older by the day.

I don't get why so many people dog on Carter... he's a proven winger and as much as I LIKE Cooke for his heart I LIKE Carter for his skill.

Either way, both of them will be signed to the team. Nonis has already stated that Carter is gonna be playing 2nd line with the Sedins most likely which would put Cooke on 3rd or 4th line where he was anyways.... so what's the fuss???

CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!?!?!

Isn't that what i just said about Cooke and Carter.

btw I call them the sedin sisters cause they look like sisters, never wanting to be seperating. I mean come on, your professional atheletes being paid big bucks and your gonna tell every team you play for if you trade my brother i have to go with him, pretty gay if you ask me. Plus they look like they were born with a deformity lol

They need D and Anson Carter, the only place I can see him is with the sedins perhaps.
And I see jarko Rutuu biting the dust here, expect the canucks to trade rutuu soon.
Anson carter is a great grinder but I'm not sure if he fits the canucks.
Heheheheh, you were saying????:070: Rutuu is resigned! :sixpak:!!! hahah

^and I never said I liked rutuu. Personally, I don't really care...I think Matt Cooke is still the better player..they should not be messing around much longer with him. Matt should have been given priority signage over Jarko...'nuff said.

I think anyone in vancouver with a decent hockey sense knows Cooke is th e canucks heart. Though offensively he is not nearly as elite as naslund and bertuzzi.

The th ing is the canucks did give priority to cooke over ruutu. They tried to sign him like 2 weeks ago maybe 2.5 wseeks for liek 1.5 or something but him *cooke* and his agent turned it down.

So now its prob going to arbitration where i think cooke is gonna lose and is gonna have to live with like a 1.2 million offer instead

with the no instigator rule the "pests" around the league will be around. With this rule intact, Ruutu is actually an accet to our team. Personally I'd rather take the rule away and have the players enforce the rules with tough guys. No one touched Gretzky back in the day with Semenko around. No reason why that wouldn't work nowadays. Fuck the Americans and their anti-fighting bullshit

No one plays well with Washington or the Rangers so it's really no diss to Carter that he didn't play that well with them anyway. With the Sedins he'll be good for making room on the ice and letting their skill shine. Vancouver is a far better managed and coached team than either of them and should be a great place for Carter to regain his previous form.

If you go to NYR, then you are just playing there for the money, not the sport. Look at canucks..most of whom signed with less pay (unconditional to the salary cap) opted to play in van because this team has spirit and heart. Plus BC kicks ass to live in :D

Yup ever since 94/95 every NYR team has been shit. Stacked with players and $, season ended with dreadful season after dreaful season.

carter always is known to bounce back what better way than to bounce b ack from a horrible NYR to one of the top teams of the west and the league as a whole.

So would I. I like all the rules to open up the ice and such not but seriously some things should just not be messed with. I mean hockey fighting is not nearly as bad as it once was in the 70's.

and i stil don't like and want ruutu on the canucks but i don't really have a choice eh haha
