I am jsut so happy hockey is back... I mean it's great that we are picking up some good players, but hey, HOCKEY is finally back, the Giants were getting rather boring to watch, though I do feel sorry for them now because not many people are going to return. Mind you, it's cheaper...

Report has it he has already been signed... why would he go anywhere else, there is a love hate relationship with Vancouver... but yay for hockey!

Clout is trying to get a 2 year contract but if that does not work out then he will accept the 1 year deal we have on the table.

Hot Karl - same. For some odd reason when i found out about this ealier I was actually really excited and intrigued by this as well. Hes not superstar, its not something blockbuster but im just hyped. 1 mill for 1 year for a player that is really not all that bad. Score!

In my opinion I don't think he's a fit.
They need D and Anson Carter, the only place I can see him is with the sedins perhaps.
And I see jarko Rutuu biting the dust here, expect the canucks to trade rutuu soon.

Anson carter is a great grinder but I'm not sure if he fits the canucks.

Remember this tho guys, there is a reason why Anson Carter has been bounced from team to team so often. Here is his teams in order Wsh, Bos, Edm, NYR, Back to Wsh, LA, Now the Canucks. He'll play his one year in Vancouver, accomplish absoultley nothing, and get moved on to probably the Rangers again or some other team thats known for buying washed up talent.

Anson Carter is pretty washed up if you ask me. Any player that the Rangers or washington get and both give up is washed up. And your right, player movement often doesn't mean they are no good, but when those 2 teams have had them, it would lead me to believe they are. Him excepting 1 million for 1 year proofs even he thinks hes washed up. Salaries have gone down but hes getting less then Andre Roy is getting from Pittsburgh just to be a goon.

Do you really want me to answer that. I'd pick Cooke any day. Cooke may not be the most skilled player but he has heart and a desire to win, Carter is a goof and hes totally gonna ruin the chemisry of the team.

I can't see how you think it boils down to Cooke or Carter. Cooke is there 3rd line winger and does a great job at it and will probably stay in that role. Carter will probably play with the Sedin Sisters
