new Honda Civic coming
I found some pix of the new 2006 Civic and made them into a video. The video is the same size as the original pix so it looks great.
The new civic has 140 and 197 HP VTEC engines, they should be here in a few weeks. http://members.shaw.ca/tvmann/hondacivic2006_v05_3m.wmv 4 megabytes, with music To drive yourself crazy with car lust, put Windows Media Player on Play / Repeat and it will loop the video forever! I tuned the music so it loops nice. Last edited by tvmann; Sep 02, 05 at 02:25 PM. |

waiting for some idiot to say it's ugly, this and that...not only it's the cheapest car, just under 20 grand but the most gas efficient in the sedan category anyway, they ran tests on gas consumption on various cars in The Province guess what on an average day to day driving, the 2005 model of a Civic, not sure if it was a DX, consumes 4.9 litres/100 kms!!! and with today's gas prices who wants an SUV???!!!!
I like the new look, will definately dominate the car market... |

Here's the place that has the images, click "Civic Redesign" for some specifications.
http://automobiles.honda.com/civics/index.aspx I hope the price is about the same as the 2005. I was gonna maybe get a Toyota Echo because it's also very reliable & gets a smidgeon more mileage and you can get the base model for a few thou less, but the new Civic looks great. Ohhh the irony. :haha: As for design? Meh... I don't care for the lines it has. And what were they smoking when they dreamed up the interior? |

word is bond....you think with compression ratios like that they'll be using regular? Besides who drives on the highway in van, my car says it gets 8litre per 100km on the hiway, but guess what that never happens in vancouver its all mixed driving and the tests never reflect real conditions. fuck the civic....im after an M3 Last edited by SEAN!; Sep 02, 05 at 02:46 AM. |

Here's some info about the engine & car:
engine: http://world.honda.com/news/2005/4050705_a.html car: http://world.honda.com/news/2005/4050831.html They don't say anywhere what fuel grade is needed but the 10.5 compression ratio might be too high for regular gas. According to the reviews at the link below, the 140 HP engine uses regular gas while the Si model with 197 HP needs premium gas. http://www.carsmart.com/content/shar...cle_id_int/714 Last edited by tvmann; Sep 02, 05 at 03:09 PM. |

My bad... the article I read here was of an Si model.
And the RS4 may be the new M3 but there won't be many of them for sale! 100hp/litre may be cool but look at the numbers! The Civic 2.0L engine is rated as 197hp @ 7800rpm and 139lb/ft torque at 6200rpm. My Audi 1.8L engine goes about 240hp @ 6000rpm and 290lb/ft at 3500rpm based on dyno runs I took. I'll be long gone by the time they even come up to speed and I drive a tank compared to the Civic. But I admit that I'm far from stock configuration :c-tard: If I was the new Civic would kick my :moon: |

I have the 2005 model civic... and it deffinently doesnt get 4.9 litres/100 kms... especialy for city driving. The new model looks hot. Especialy the interior, but you have to remember they're most likely showing you the luxury model that includes everything up to snuff wich ends of being a good $5000+ extra over the base model LOL
It's so silly because they advertise the base model price, but show you the nicest and most expencive models when test driving and checking out the dispalys. Last edited by Ree Fresh; Sep 03, 05 at 02:32 AM. |

Here's some more realistic pix of the new Civics. But most are probably taken with a telephoto lens so the car looks more chunky than when you see it close up. Looks like they used higher end models of the car since they all have alloy wheels.
The first ones are now being delivered in USA and selling real fast. Someone already got an Si in Cali and is modding it even though they're not officially available for 2 months. http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_sh...9_honda_civic/ wallpaper: http://automobilemag.com/photo_galle...0_honda_civic/ |
