dave it's been really wonderful to see how you and your boys have really come along over the years.
Where's Wendel was an awesome time, and it's so wicked to see how well your doing for yourself now.
Early Talksic Tuesdays (Red Hot Jazz Club was great!) will still be some of my most favourite memories.
I dont even remember the name of the party you did over the Indy Track with Awol but that still wins hands down favourite party EVER in my books

hehe.. I've got a shoe box full of old party flyers packed away somewhere. :) I also have the flyer from the first real party I did e at. (I never had a flyer for my very first party.) I also have the flyer for my first Van party too.
I have a bunch of old AGRO flyers in that box too. :D

i think my first one was a halloween talksic... it remember the spanish being completely packed and precise was on when we arrived scratching over electroish breaks. then illesha came on and started off with konflict - messiah. then threw down some hardcore dark crazy shit. haha good times. i left early cuz i had a curfew. lol

pretty sure i was at agroventures... when they used all the spanish. the breaks and dnb room was steamy as fuck and some crazy jibteks were writing fucked up shit on the steam covered mirrors. and i remember i was really into super duper fast dnb.. like +10 styles. so to me everything anyone else played was too slow. so i'd be the bitter asian dude in the baby blue jacket at every jungle party trying to groove to +4 dnb. lol

i was also at sexy sexy 1. i wanted to see flave that night. can't remember that much but i do remember lotta 14 year olds in lingerie.

damn it was either soundbombin or juicy i was at... the one that had the beatboxer. i can't even remember his name. lol cuz he's the one who got me and my girl krystle in at the time. krystle met him somewhere and he said he was gonna be performing at a rave that night so she dragged my raver ass along. lol we didnt even see him perform either krystle started to get freaked out by the dirtyass ravers so we left after being there for about half an hour.

after that i didnt hit up many agro parties... oh yeah i went to ghettoblaster. showed up after work... i bought like 2 tickets from fun fun but i couldnt find anyone who wanted to go with me. so whatever. i showed up... saw seans drunkass... myra and sean settled their online differences that night and myra was jumping all over sean. met a few peeps. left when disco d came on cuz i'm a hater like that

but yeah... good times! i remember always wondering who the fuck wendel was.. and who that ghetto lookin white guy in the bandana was who seemed to know everyone.. including all the hot bitches. turned out he was the one and only agro dave. lol

oh yeah i gotta add... it was some random talksic at the spanish when i first saw flave rock.... man.... i was just going oFF like a muthafucka! he played after a dnb dj.... i think it was illesha or jungle SOUUUJAH lol. but yeah he did some crazy trick on the 600 then did that intro house music! is a feeling! it doesn't matter where you come from! etc etc

Talk-sic tuesdays was the SHIT! so many good times and better memories!
and I totally forgot about Dayglow! good times, so sketchy weekend, went to a party that was in that budhist temple on hastings the night before, then went to dayglow and kept using the restaurant across the street's bathroom to rail a bunch of jib then later that night it was "lucky charms" but that got busted so we had a whole line of like 15 cars all driving down the road to go to some club that was playing techno/dance music haha such good times
So many of the parties on that list I remember seeing flyers for and busting my ass to get there but then getting f@#$ed over for rides at the last minute, but the ones I made it to were hella sweet I gotta agree.

Dude you should come! Besides the obvious fact of me trying to sell you a ticket, it's not about that! I think it's awsoem when the oldschool crew still comes out. Cause we all know how we used to party back then, at least we can still bring back at least some of that vibe haha!

Best part is the vibe, there's always a good one at agro parties. I dont know what it is. It's like you pump out plur instead of fog in those machines or something. Always good setup, headliners, sound, never dissapointed until the fuzz comes, even then It's never a waste.

Memories, misty water coloured memorieeeeeees!

Talk-sic Tuesdays: I remember some lady freaking out at Adrienne at one of these for sitting on the curb outside of Spanish and Adrienne yelling right back. Then I made the connection that Adrienne was the same girl I knew from church camp or youth group hahaha.

Brush Your Teeth: Brought my cousin from Bermuda to this one. She'd never been to a rave but had an okay time. She said she had a lot more fun at the second part in that weird place in North Van though.

Day-Glo: Simi Sara was at this party! I also remember the two un-uniformed guys standing on the steps and some dudes climbed above them and made a sign that said "COPS" with an arrow pointing down and put it above their heads. Hilarious.

Agroventures: Somebody flailed while dancing, smoked me in the face and gave me a bloody nose. I then went to the bathroom and people wouldn't believe my story and were convinced I got a nose bleed from railing shit.

Sexy Sexy 1: Flave scratching with his feet! (or was that Agroventures?). I think this was the party where John "I'm sort of a big deal" Kor (or was that Agroventures?) heh.

Soundbombin': One of my favourite venues. I felt like my rave cred went up 10 fold when I met the Ishkur at this party and proceeded to talk about the geekyest shit you could fathom: Comparing Table top RPGs to Everquest.

Juicy: This venue gets the award for the skinniest second room ever. It was a hallway! Lotta fun though. I remember asking Sean 'Mr. Spectrum' Lala if he would bring Z-Trip back cause I missed his set at Sonar. I eventually got my wish.

Kick It: Czech was wearing a shirt that said "House Music Sucks", as much as I like house (which is only a little bit), it was still a sweet shirt.

Sexy Sexy 2: After someone broke into the Laser Tag area this party became amazing. I met sweaty shirtless Ron at this party then later saw him at school. People are a fair bit different in an academic setting then they are at raves.

Kiss Valentines Massive: Why do B-boys get so mad when you bust into their circle and dance like a retarded Dance 36-OH reject. We may never know.

Rythym Nation: Bought a ticket and a ticket for the shuttle bus but it got cancelled. No worries though, got me free tickets to some other party and I got to go to a friend's place in Whistler instead. Too bad I got drunk, jumped off some stairs and broke my ankle while I was there.

Ghettoblaster: This party had the greatest renegade stage I've ever seen: A juke-box and a bunch of ravers with pockets full of loonies.

Benni Benassi: I didn't go inside but I totally walked by the line outside the club before the show started. omgz.

I sota fizzled out of raving after this, but it sure was a good run. I know I've said it before but thanks Dave for all the wicked times.
