Burns Bog Fire!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy shit.. i just drove down Nordel way toward the alex fraser bridge.... it was intense... You could see the flames burning the trees.. i never seen that kinda stuff that close before..The whole area is glowing orange and red .. Big plumes of thick smoke!!... crazy shit.. i hope it gets put out soon.. Burns bog is one of the biggest bogs in all of north america... One of a kind.. Our ecosytem needs burns bog.. If i could help out i would.... Anyone know who to talk to about volunteer work??? I would skip out work to help stop that fire......

dude this isnt the first time ither i use to do alot of drinking when i was a teenager down there good times man!!!! but it happends alot because it is so dry!!! i remember like 8 years ago it burned for like for months or something...it totally sucks ass!!!!! might take a while b4 thats sh*t burns out just like b4...............boo

Peat Fires are dangerous as they can be put out on the Surface but the blaze can still be burning underground and pop up elsewhere. Some Bog Fires have been known to burn for Years. It would be ashame if Burns Bog succumbed to that fate.

Yah me and shaun were going down the highway near Canada Way and I noticed the smell and the smoke in the sky. There was ash floating all over the place. He lives just over the bridge from the fire and says it looks crazy from his house. I can only imagin how much it must suck though to live beside it.

I can see the orangy glow of the fire over the horizon from my building. Pretty crazy stuff.

Wow... maybe Hell is actually just a really huge bog fire that's been going on underground for a long-ass time.

Those of you who live near there should be careful not to get caught when the Souls of the Damned (tm) explode out from the bog under your feet.

its important to remember that fires do occur naturally in nature and that it not only destroys plants but also gives birth to a larger abundance of plant life following the fire. i know that bogs are known for their cranberry production and its been found that following bog fires cranberry plants seem to increase in size and numbers
