Yeah I had a feeling they were coming out with something big. Hence that buy a mac computer, get a free iPod mini/ discount on a bigger iPod promo. I got the 20g colour iPod. I think I'll sell it and buy a 30g video iPod hehehe.
But yeah $2 for a TV episode, and same price for a music video? Pft yeah right. Plus a DVD box set is anywhere from 30-60 for regular network shows (HBO stuff is pricey). In some cases, makes more sense to buy a box set than $2/episode for 24 episodes. Or.. just download :D |

its official! check out www.apple.ca
hmmmm.. whats the video option even good for...if downloading movies is "illegal".. how do u get it onto the ipod. not too sure if its useful or not. |

Im pretty sure Apples has signed contract agreements with the Film Distributors to have rights for specific music videos, series and shit... "Illegal" downloading is when you get a music video...and dont own a store bought version... its like Vinyl...if you buy the record, you are legally entitled to have a back up on cd/mp3 aslong as you have proof that you bought the record (even if you sell it, then reciept is enough proof)

i dont understand the concept of downloading music videos... especially watching it in the ipod. one day they'll develope an ipod with a fold out screen that turns into a 10 inch flat screen or something..thennnn that's more productive. to those that have the psp.. what videos do u guys load in? "lets watch an entire movie on my ipod!!"...i duno i guess those portable dvd players are popular right now too... weird.

I installed linux on my 60 gig ipod and can play movies, they have to be formatted right though. The ipod video is not suprising, alot of rumour sites thought that it was going to be released instead of the nano back in september.
Apple has signed contracts to distribute Disney, ABC and obviously some stuff from Pixar as Jobs is the CEO of Pixar as well. More importantly it supports h.264 which will allow me to watch my diggnation video podcasts on my ipod or my tv without having to lug my laptop around. |

2 inch screens?
Some nano's where said to scratch and have their screens broken super easy, now it was only 1% of those shipped so to be honest your talking barely anything. My real question is it worth watching video's on a 2 inch screen?
Isn't that kinda small? I think i'm gonna sell my 20GB ipod and buy a nano tho! |
