Is this so you can take photos of your patients as "happy go lucky" before you drive them to euthanesia as a result of your punishing and rigorous "mental reprogramming" driving them over the edge? I had a sneaking suspicion!
nonetheless to capture said geriatrics in poses of liesure and "happyness' you probably need to be taking many a different shot, so versatility, durability and being resistant to blood, puke and feces(all as a result of your forced reconditioning) so in this day in age 400$ buys you a half decent camera, of which may have some real manual functions. My opinion is to stay away from sony, like ALL there electronics, theyre big on stlye, durability, ease of use, but as for quality, theyre usaully lacking, mainly as a result of focussing on many different kinds of products. Of course there top end level slr's are apperently quality (a few of the local papers reporters sware by them) but apperently a new model is coming out soon, so keep your ears to the streets (but dont forget to cover your tracks at the hospital, god knows what would happen if a hapless nurse walked into an instance where you were engaged in any number of perversions with patients!) My suggestion at that price point would be to look into an olympus - i have a c770(awesome lenses, confusing digital menu controls, rip though batteries, awesome resolution settings, "manual functions' are anything but - you can alter them, but its via the digital menu, its got 10x optical zoom and 5MP's, but im starting to learn that perhaps a mega optical zoom isnt super neccessary, so im not sure on that property) Ive also heard many people swear by canon, but considering its canon, your going to be paying a bit of a premium? Anyways that all my ignorant ass knows, but might i suggest hitting up NARC either here or on NWDNB, by his photos, and the shear volume of them, i would say he could give you a good "industry" opinion/s) Other than that, just remember to spray the cameras in your wing with that fake snow foam(it eventaully disinegrates to nothing so no one will be the wiser) and im pretty sure no one will have any records of all the perverse things that go on with the patients and you- happy hunting(i mean for cameras!) |

LOL, is there anything this guy isn't an expert on?
some of these look good: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec...kon_cp7900.asp I've used this one before, it's OK with lots of floofy pictures, like different settings for taking pictures of different coloured cats and dogs. My buddy left it at the bottom of a hot tub overnight, still works http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec...x_optiowpi.asp this one is great with a lot of potential for you to grow as a photographer if you are so inclined. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec.../nikon_d50.asp Last edited by shorerider; Nov 02, 05 at 12:26 PM. |

The gray box is pretty cool. It has a 40 gig HD in it, you can pop a memory card in it, hit copy and it copies the files over to the HD, then you can keep using the card. It is also a card reader, so you can plug it in to you comp and pop a card in, copy the files over as well. It can also be used as a portable HD. oh, and the battery charges through a USB connection. Not bad for around $80us, I picked it up in Kuala Lumpur. |
